Car is in park but the car alerts that it is not in park ( causing radio and light s to stay on ) - happens continually and from what I have heard from other people and mechanics - this is a known issue with Chevy
The car is not sensing that it is in park when it is. When I place it in park and turn the car off it dings and says shift into park however it already is in park. Therefore the car will not turn off. I had to jiggle the shift or turn the car on, reverse then go forward then park to get it to register. This has taken up to 10 minutes and it’s getting worse. I was driving and steering reduced drive with caution notification and brake assist notification came on and then engine light and the temp gage went to cold and stayed there. My steering stiffened up making it hard to steer. This is a known problem with the Chevy blazers and it had to do with the thermostat needing replaced.
