The Car Library — every model ever made
19,113 models indexed across 1,209 brands — 13,424 with original photography.
This library is a catalogue, not a review section. It lists every production car, prototype and concept the open record knows about, by marque, with a photograph wherever Wikimedia Commons holds a free one. Its job is to give a name a home: when a reader searches for an obscure coachbuilt one-off, a badge-engineered export model or a concept that never reached a showroom, the entry here says when it was introduced, who built it, and what the sourced specification looks like — and nothing more. Where the public record is silent we leave the row blank rather than fill it in.
Ownership cost and reliability verdicts live separately, in the United States ownership index, because they come from a different kind of evidence: federal complaint and recall filings, and EPA fuel-economy tests. The two sections link to each other wherever a catalogue entry matches a scored model year. To read a verdict, start with the buyer's guides, which explain what the numbers mean before you use them.
