How the site is funded

MotorJury is funded by display advertising served by Google AdSense and, where they appear, by affiliate links. There is no subscription, no sponsored content and no paid placement in any list, score or guide, and no manufacturer, dealer or insurer has ever paid to appear on the site or to be left out of it.

Advertising

Advertisements are selected and served by Google, not by us, and are marked as advertising. Advertising never appears inside a data table, a verdict card or a buyer's guide, and it never changes what those say. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising cookies are set only after you consent in the message shown on your first visit; see the privacy policy for how to change that choice.

Affiliate links

Some links — for example to parts, diagnostic tools, vehicle-history reports or insurance quote partners — may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are chosen after the page's content is written and computed, never before, and the presence or absence of an affiliate partner has no effect on any score or recommendation. Where a page carries an affiliate link it is labelled as such near the link.

Independence

Every score and verdict is computed from NHTSA and EPA public records by the published methodology, and every guide is written by the editor from that record before any monetisation is attached to the page. The editorial policy sets out how corrections are handled and how a reader can challenge a figure.
