Editor's note
The Cadillac SRX's year to avoid is 2015, a CAUTION at 69 on 442 complaints, of which 302 are in the Exterior Lighting category; the year to buy is 2016, the last SRX, at 88 on 168 complaints. The 2011 to 2014 cars are all BUY at 71, 81, 78 and 79, but they carry the same lighting complaint: 198, 233, 217 and 266 a year, more than half of all reports on the 2014 car. Read the full note on the model page. 2014 specifically: a year the record favours — 389 complaints, score 79/100. The caveats in the note apply to other years of this nameplate more than to this one.

What owners say
Verbatim reports filed with the United States safety regulator (NHTSA) by owners of this exact model year. Public record.
I have a 2014 Cadillac SRX that has a hazardous headlights issue. At night there is no visibility for other drivers to see me. I’m not the only SRX customer either this issue. Please let me what is going on, Cadillac, GM, need to be responsible for replacing this issue
Transmission is slipping/jerking when stopping and then when accelerating again. Multiple other owners have reported this same issue.
At lower speeds, especially after coasting, my car will lag for a few seconds before jerking forward. Also today I was coasting going about 25 mph and tried to accelerate and I pushed the pedal down and it wasn’t doing anything for several seconds then decided to start speeding up. No warning lights have come on. This has been happening for a bit but today was the first time I was concerned for my safety as I was out…
