The contact stated that the vehicle was taken for inspection, and the contact was advised that the front driver’s side ball joint on the suspension was cracked and needed to be replaced. There was no warning light illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted, and the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure …
the engine stopped working. The dealer said a new was required since the engine no longer had enough compression in one cylinder. The car had only 83,000 miles. In talking with other repair shops, they said this is a common feature in many 2015 XFs.
My vehicle has about 68k miles, I have always serviced the vehicle properly. While driving the car my steering locked up and my vehicle lost all power on a busy road with my children in the car.
