Byd does not build many cars like the BYD Sealion 07 DM-i: a 5-door crossover SUV with Petrol engine, built from 2025 to 2026 in the decade the industry is turning electric. Its designer of record is Under the lead of Wolfgang Egger.

Where it sits
Where it sits in Byd's history is not in doubt: the BYD Frigate 07 came before it; it was built at Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. On a showroom list of its day it stood against the Tesla Cybertruck, the Nissan Z, the Nissan Kait. Its Byd stablemates include the BYD 8TT and the BYD Atto 2.
