While driving in the rain, my 2014 Nissan Juke began to smoke underneath the hood. I immediately pulled over and a fire ignited, burning the front half of the car and totaling it. The fire department extinguished the fire. The fire appeared to start near the area of the driver side headlight. There were no warning lamps or previous symptoms.
Driving at 4:50am, it’s dark and raining. While driving I noticed fog/steam on my hood. Which sometimes happens when it’s raining. Continued driving but noticed it was still foggy/steam from the hood. I decided to go back home and wait until daylight. I don’t like driving in the rain or dark.
