Editor's note
No Mini Cooper year is an AVOID: every scored year is a BUY, from 80 for the 2013 car to 95 for the 2014, and the 2014, with 66 complaints and no recalls, is the one to buy. The record covers only 2011 to 2015 and 2025; the 2016 to 2024 cars have no complaints on file and are DATA PENDING, an absent record rather than a clean one. Read the full note on the model page. 2013 specifically: a year the record favours — 143 complaints, score 80/100. The caveats in the note apply to other years of this nameplate more than to this one.
