I received a recall letter in October 2025. The letter states Ford Motor Company do nit have the parts available and will notify me when they do have a remedy so I can make an appointment. The problem is I still haven’t received a notification letter about a remedy found. It’s been almost a year.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Taurus. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V695000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view camera displayed a blank image. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were available; however, the contact was advised to pay out-of-pocket for the part and …
This vehicle has had a recall on the backup camera for nearly a year & no information from Ford on a solution or repair. The camera issue is very frustrating & intermittent failing during use.
