Editor's note

Every EcoSport year is BUY, from 70 for the 2018 to 93 for the 2022, and the trend runs the right way: 723 owner complaints and 90.4 per year on the road for the 2018, then 457, 393 and 257 for 2019 to 2021, and 10 for the 2022. The 2019 to 2021 cars, at 80, 77 and 84, are the ones to buy, provided the oil pump belt campaign has been done. The caveats in the note apply to other years of this nameplate more than to this one.

For a month, every time I put gas in my car whether I filled up or just put half a tank my car will not start for 10-15 minutes. I took it to the ford place and my extended warranty wouldn't cover it. It seems like an evap valve would be covered. I have only had my car 11 months. This is going to cost over $1,000 to fix. It seems like ford should be responsible for the repairs.

The vehicle RPM's increased but had no power. Was able to drive the vehicle home but was at inconstant speeds / RPMS could not get above 40 MPH. Low oil light came on while driving home as well. Made appointment at Ford local dealership, they verbally told me…
