I was driving on the freeway and was between two cars. The car on my right was trying to merge into me. I immediately was breaking while trying to control steering. I attempted to honk three times and my honk horn would not work. In a case of an emergency, that is absolutely unacceptable a car like this should be able to honk.
I did some online research and am concerned that the accident may have been caused by a safety issue reported on our 2025 model Cadillac Lyriq involving its One Pedal Driving (OPD) feature. We had tried using OPD when we first got the car and didn't like it and have not engaged it again over the past year. Stopped at the West Bound Thruway Seneca service area. After returning to the vehicle, multiple error messages were displayed on screen. "Have Power Steering Serviced, Service Stabilitrak, Service Headlamps, AWD Tempoarily Unavailable" Steering was the main issue. It was almost impossible to turn and steer.
