Strip the Suzuki e Vitara back to its specification sheet and the character is already there: electric motor, 106 kW. Suzuki built from 2025, in the decade the industry is turning electric. Kimitoshi Sato (exterior) / Takashi Hayashida (interior) drew it.
The background
The Suzuki e Vitara (Japanese: スズキ・eビターラ, Hepburn: Suzuki Ebitāra) is a battery electric subcompact crossover SUV (B-segment) produced by Japanese manufacturer Suzuki, utilising the Vitara nameplate. Introduced in November 2024, it is the first mass-produced battery electric vehicle ever produced by the company. It is also marketed by Toyota with modified styling as the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
The engineering
Power comes from electric motor; 106 kW is the published figure. It weighs 1702 –. Work it out per tonne and you get about 62 horsepower — unhurried — enough for the job, not for the bragging. The wheelbase is 2700 mm. These are manufacturer figures carried by Wikipedia and Wikidata, not road-test measurements.
Where it sits
Its family tree is legible: assembly was at Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Suzuki Motor Gujarat), India. Its contemporaries in the catalogue — the Renault Boreal, the BYD Auto Fangchengbao Ti3, the Mazda CX-6e — show what else the money bought that year. Its Suzuki stablemates include the Suzuki XL-7 and the Suzuki Landy.
