The Hyundai Elexio is a 5-door SUV from Hyundai, built from 2025, in the decade the industry is turning electric.
How it came about
The Hyundai Elexio, alternatively the Hyundai EO (Chinese: 现代羿欧; pinyin: Xiàndài Yìōu) in China, is a battery electric compact crossover SUV manufactured by Hyundai through its Beijing Hyundai joint venture in China since 2025. It is China's alternative to the Ioniq 5 due to its segment, but it has a longer length along with a longer wheelbase.
The hardware
214-312 hp is the published figure. It weighs 1884 -. Work it out per tonne and you get about 114 horsepower — brisk everyday performance. The wheelbase is 2750 mm. These are manufacturer figures carried by Wikipedia and Wikidata, not road-test measurements.
Family and rivals
Its family tree is legible: assembly was at Beijing (Beijing Hyundai), China. Its contemporaries in the catalogue — the Nissan Z, the Volvo ES90, the Toyota bZ5 — show what else the money bought that year. Its Hyundai stablemates include the Hyundai Accent WRC and the Hyundai Accent.
