The Lada Vesta is a 4-door saloon / 5-door estate from Lada, built from 2015, as electrification stopped being an experiment and the crossover took every market. Under the bonnet: 1.6&nbsp. Steve Mattin drew it.

The story

The Lada Vesta is a compact car produced by the Russian car company AvtoVAZ since 2015. It was presented in August 2014 during the Moscow International Automobile Salon and went into mass production on 25 September 2015 in Izhevsk.

What is underneath

Power comes from 1.6  other versions carried different engines, listed in the specification table below. It weighs 1230 -. It shifts through a 5-speed manual / 5-speed Automated manual transmission / automated manual / CVT. The layout matters: the engine drives the front wheels, the packaging choice that gives a small car a big cabin. The wheelbase is 2635 mm. These are manufacturer figures carried by Wikipedia and Wikidata, not road-test measurements.

Its place in the line

Its family tree is legible: it took over from the Lada Priora; assembly was at Izhevsk (Lada Izhevsk), Russia. Its contemporaries in the catalogue — the Ferrari 488, the Chevrolet Camaro, the Ford Escort — show what else the money bought that year. Nearby in the Lada catalogue sit the LADA Granta and the LADA Kalina.
