The Dacia Bigster is a 5-door SUV from Dacia, built from 2024, in the decade the industry is turning electric. Under the bonnet: Petrol.

How it came about

The Dacia Bigster is a compact crossover SUV developed by a joint venture between the French automaker Renault and its Romanian subsidiary Dacia, produced in 2024 for a market launch in 2025. It is based on the third-generation Dacia Duster with an extended body length and wheelbase. The Bigster was presented at the 90th edition of the 2024 Paris Motor Show in October.

The hardware

Power comes from Petrol; other versions carried different engines, listed in the specification table below. It weighs 1364 -. It shifts through a 6-speed manual / 6-speed DCT. The wheelbase is 2702 mm. These are manufacturer figures carried by Wikipedia and Wikidata, not road-test measurements.

Family and rivals

Its family tree is legible: assembly was at Mioveni, Romania. Its contemporaries in the catalogue — the Tesla Cybertruck, the Nissan Z, the Kia EV6 — show what else the money bought that year. Its Dacia stablemates include the Dacia 1100 and the Dacia 1210.
