Editor's note
The fourth-generation Odyssey (2011–2017) is one of the best minivans in the dataset, scoring in the 70s and 80s. The fifth generation launched for 2018 with a ten-speed automatic and a new infotainment system, and the record collapsed: nearly a thousand complaints for each of 2018 and 2019, most of them transmission shudder and hesitation, sliding-door failures, and the rear-seat entertainment system. Read the full note on the model page. 2014 specifically: a year the record favours — 307 complaints, score 77/100. The caveats in the note apply to other years of this nameplate more than to this one.

Rear sliding doors will not shut automatic or otherwise!!!!! Having to pull the door shut to get it to shut could result in someone arms or fingers being crushed! The cord could snap and hurt someone! Kids riding in backseat could fall out of car while the door won’t shut! The door could open while driving down the road! These doors have costs us hundreds in trying to fix them and they just keep breaking!
While brake pedal depressed and car coming to a stop at a traffic light, car surged forward as engine revved and hit another car in front of it. Brake pedal was depressed the entire time.
