Ford Edge

Editor's note

Avoid the 2013 Edge, which scores 42 on 2,442 owner complaints, and the 2017, which scores 35 on 1,314, the lowest of the fourteen years on record. Buy a 2014, which scores 85 on 381 complaints, or a 2020 to 2024, which score between 82 and 90 with no year above 312 complaints. Read the full note on the model page. 2014 specifically: a year the record favours — 381 complaints, score 85/100. The caveats in the note apply to other years of this nameplate more than to this one.

What owners say

Verbatim reports filed with the United States safety regulator (NHTSA) by owners of this exact model year. Public record.

Rear camera not working, blank screen, upside down picture, distorted picture. Same issue which was recalled by ford on earlier models, ie 2013
The rear view mirror backup camera continues to stop working and occasionally camera shows everything 280 degrees upside down. this is a MAJOR safety issue !!!!!!
The backup camera works periodically. Over a year ago, I went to Fiesta Ford to complain but it would cost me over $1000 to repair the camera. Many rimes it will start to work and during my back up, the screen would go black. There were several times when this occurred where I almost backed into another car backing up at the same time. The message on the screen says camera currently not available.
