Hispano-Suiza does not build many cars like the HIspano-Suiza K8: a Four-door sedan, built from 2001 in the decade of stability control, dual-clutch gearboxes and the first serious hybrids.
The story
The Hispano-Suiza K8 is a concept car from the Spanish company Mazel, first presented at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show as a luxury sedan. It is a four-seater sports car. The interior of the vehicle (dashboard, doors, steering wheel and seats) is covered in ochre - coloured leather. Mazel was the company that was dedicated to the design of this car, and with it, they revived the Hispano-Suiza brand. After this prototype, they designed the Hispano-Suiza HS21-GTS.
Under the skin
The record carries the shape — a Four-door sedan — and the layout: drive goes to all four wheels, which is what lets the power be used on a wet road. The engine, output and weight have not yet reached the open record, and MotorJury does not guess at them.
Its place in the line
On a showroom list of its day it stood against the Honda Fit, the Hyundai Santa Fe, the Honda Accord. Nearby in the Hispano-Suiza catalogue sit the Hispano-Suiza Alfonso XIII and the Hispano-Suiza Carmen.
