“On 5/18, I was reversing into a parking spot and my steering rack completely locked to the right, with no warning and while in motion, causing me to strike a parked vehicle. The car had to be towed and dealership mechanic said steering rack had an internal mechanical failure and needs replacement. “The contact called on behalf of the owner of a 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. The contact stated that since the vehicle was purchased, an abnormal fuel odor had been emitting from the vehicle. The contact stated that the abnormal smell persisted. The contact stated that the fuel odor was strong when filling up the vehicle. “OEM windshield, vehicle has no accidents or damage. Windshield seal failed. Can push the windshield away from the frame and has water intrusion. Unknown how much of the seal and dash electronics are compromised. Safety concern catastrophic failure of a windshield while driving or loss of electronics resulting in loss of driver control.
